As discussed in this post by Elizabeth DiNardo, Esq, Uber is launching a fleet of autonomous cars in Pittsburgh this fall.  In addition to the impact driverless vehicles will have on transportation in general, as well as future sales within the auto industry; they will also have an enormous impact on future litigation regarding car accident injury claims.  Currently, personal injury attorneys deal mostly with injury claims involving the negligence of another driver.  As driverless cars become more mainstream it is likely that litigation involving motor vehicle accidents will focus more and more on products liability versus the typical driver negligence claim.
