Not all injuries stemming from motor vehicle accidents resolve overnight or within a few weeks.  Many accident related injuries take months or even years to resolve, and unfortunately, there are some injuries that never fully heal.  As as accident injury attorney, I see many clients with injury claims who suffer from chronic pain that began, or was made worse, as the result of being involved in a car accident.  Many of these clients have tried nearly every potential treatment option available, ranging from physical therapy to pain management injections and even sometimes surgical intervention.  Below is a link to Pain is Weird, an interesting article written by Paul Ingraham on how pain works and the science behind why we feel pain.  Ingraham does a great job of providing an overview of his theory of pain and includes great links to other sources and videos, including a very entertaining video by Professor Lorimer Moseley, Professor of Clinical Neurosciences and Chair in Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia.
